HECTOR on the beam line ready to take data.
The summing detector, HECTOR, has seen its first proton beam during the week of May 9th. The detector was set up on the R2D2 beam line of the FN pelletron and measured resonances in the 27Al(p,g)28Si reaction. These data will be used to commission HECTOR and calibrate its summing efficiency.
