About the Organisers

Michèle Anik Stanbury recently received her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame.  Her interests lie in the relation between the Platonic and Aristotelian traditions, particularly in the areas of dialectic and metaphysics.  Her dissertation studied the reception of Peripatetic thought in the Neoplatonic tradition, as mediated by the interpretation of Aristotle offered by commentaries of Alexander of Aphrodisias. Born and raised in Canada, she received her B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Winnipeg.

Naomi Fisher is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. She is interested primarily in German Idealism and is writing her dissertation on Kant and Schelling’s views on perception, specifically as they pertain to animals. She received an M.S. in Physics from U.C. Davis and her B.S. in Physics from Biola University.
