Director, Summer Language Abroad (SLA) Grant Program
Comprehensive development, management and administration of a $200k language study abroad grant program as well as coordinated curricular components that include formal coursework and proficiency assessment.

Committee consisting of faculty and administrative leadership tasked with developing and reviewing study abroad program evaluations and protocol according to strategic goals of the university.
Chair, Executive Committee for the Center for the Study of Languages & Cultures
Committee consisting of all foreign language department chairs and the Arts and Letters Dean’s office tasked with strategic planning and innovation for Notre Dame’s language programs.
Chair, Steering Committee for the Center for the Study of Languages & Cultures
Committee consisting of fourteen appointed foreign language faculty from each foreign language department tasked with strategic planning for the CSLC.
Major Grant Initiatives
PI, U.S. State Department, Office of Academic Exchange Programs, Intensive English and Cultural Exchange Program ($370k)
Author, principle investigator and administrator of a English for Academic Purposes (EAP) development grant to be implemented in conjunction with a US State Department exchange program.
Co-PI, East Asian Studies Grant, U.S. Dept of Education (Title VI) Undergraduate International Studies & Foreign Language Grant ($250k)
Leadership role developing grant proposal; conducting search and hiring faculty in conjunction with the grant; supervision and management of grant faculty; direct support of grant initiatives.
Co-PI, Teagle Foundation Systematic Improvement in Student Learning Grant, Utilization-Based Assessment in the Humanities (under revision) ($200k)
Leadership role in the development of a proposal for a three-year language and humanities assessment project incorporating eight departments and two major universities. Update: Currently working with Co-PI’s to revise proposal for resubmission.

Secretary, International Association of Language Learning Technology (IALLT)
Voting board member as executive secretary and organizational strategic planning for IALLT, the largest scholarly and professional organization for language center administrators.
Managing Editor, the International Association of Language Learning Technology Journal
Managing editor for the peer reviewed scholarly journal of the International Association of Language Learning Technology.
Conference Host, Computer Assisted Instructional Consortium (CALICO) Conference 2012
Leader in proposing, preparing and managing the Computer Assisted Instructional Consortium 2012 Conference, in conjunction with IALLT.
