Apply now for the 2014 CSC Community Engagement Faculty Institute!

Apply now for the 2014 Center for Social Concerns Faculty Institute, May 28, 29, and 30.

Designed for all who want to deepen their knowledge, skills, and passion for community-based teaching and research, this three-day faculty institute is itself a model of engaged learning, with a mix of lectures by faculty and community experts on the theory and practice of community engagement along with travel into the local community to learn with community partners who address a range of social concerns, such as poverty, healthcare, and education. Community partner connections and institute curriculum will be tailored to the learning objectives and interests expressed by the emergent cohort.

Please apply by Friday, February 28, 2014. Space is limited. Applications will be reviewed by Center for Social Concerns faculty and affiliated Fellows on a rolling basis; those admitted into the Faculty Institute will be notified of acceptance by Friday, March 14, 2014. Participants selected will be recognized at the Rodney F. Ganey Awards Dinner in April and will receive, upon completion of the full Faculty Institute, $250 deposited to their research account to be applied toward community engagement research and teaching. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.
