The University of Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing (CRC) is hosting a half-day GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day conference on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 11:30-5:30 p.m. at the Eck Visitors Center. Registration is free but necessary for attendance.

About the Conference:
GIS Day includes lectures, a poster session, software demonstrations, a reception and giveaways. The focus of this year’s GIS Day is large scale modeling in the Great Lakes region. The keynote speakers are Dr. John M. Hamrick, Director, Water Resource Group, Tetra Tech Inc., and Dr. Anthony Vodacek, Associate Professor, Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, Rochester Institute of Technology.
